Hi Jacqueline,
Facials are perfectly fine during pregnancy, any therapist worth their salt will always ask questions about how pregnancy has affected your skin and use different products in accordance to your needs. Gentle, natural products on face and body is the norm during pregnancy, as the majority of pregnant ladies suffer from sensitive skin.
The right kind of Massage is fine also, I personally use pure almond products as this ingredient is great for reducing stretch marks and increases the elasticity of the skin.
Always talk to your doctor before receiving any form of massage during your pregnancy. Pregnancy massage may not be recommended in women with diabetes or high blood pressure.
During the first trimester, some massage therapists will not perform pregnancy massage due to the increased risk of miscarriage during this time; however, there is no conclusive evidence suggesting massage can induce a miscarriage.
Always seek a qualified massage therapist with additional training in pregnancy massage. Some acupressure points in your foot and ankle area are contraindicated for pregnancy, as they may induce uterine contractions.

Hi Jacquelin,
Pregnancy massage is safe and relaxing, facials based on natural organic products are fine, obviously pedicure (its difficult to take care, by yourself , of your feet when you are getting bigger), and manicure, I would recommend you individual eyelashes extension, if you in a mood to feel more glamorous , my clients are with me for a waxing till the baby due, and I think its safe.
Kind regards, Alex

Obagi Professional vitamin C serum would be a perfect choice for the home care to maintain your skin during pregnancy and breast feeding - it tightens, keeps the moisture inside the skin, has a healing effect and gives a skin an even tone. Facials are very good as well - we offer a range of facials with organic products from the Dr Belter range - your facial will be designed after the therapist goes through the skin assessment with you. more info on http://www.bodysilk.co.uk/treatments/facials

When I was pregnant I use to hate being treated as ill and fragile like I was going to break like glass.
I believe anything that isnt intrusive into the bodys system like chemicals, restricting treatments, electronic polaric input treatments, extremely hot / cold.
Enjoy superficial treatments there are lots of spa treatments for pregnant ladies your therapist will know what is suitable for expectant mums.
