Having gained her nursing certificate, along with her operating theatre course (ENB118), Shahla resumed her career in cardiac surgery at" Harefield Hospital". from 1980 to 1986- mainly working in the newly founded Heart Transplant Unit with Sir Magdi Yacoub and his team.
