With a naturally caring touch and warm welcoming approach Katie’s therapeutic massage is suitable as a deeper treatment to alleviate areas of tension or perfect as a relaxing treat.
Katie qualified with a diploma in Therapeutic Massage from the London College of Massage in 2011 where she continues to teach on a part-time basis. She has completed and continues to undertake further training with Jing Advanced Massage Training in Brighton to nourish her interest of supporting people to live more relaxed and pain free lives.
The treatment includes a range of techniques from Swedish Massage whilst combining these with the sensitivity and holistic perspective of Intuitive massage. Long, relaxing strokes are combined with pressure work on specific areas of tension. This approach includes elements of Shiatsu which are often used on the head, neck and face. Each massage treatment is unique and appropriate to the client’s particular needs on that occasion.
Therapeutic massage is suitable for all ages and can help treat a wide range of problems, to list a few: muscle aches and pains, back ache, stiff neck and shoulders, menstrual tension and PMT, migraine, insomnia, circulatory problems and cellulite reduction amongst many others.
Over 15years of bodywork experience practicing and later teaching yoga give Katie an understanding and intuitive feel for the body. Katie combines therapeutic massage with a number of soft tissue techniques including trigger point, myofascial release and stretching. Feedback from regular clients confirm her caring approach together with great technical ability create a safe, supportive environment for healing to take place.
