Thai Massage is a unique healing system of body work that dates back thousands of years to the time of the Buddha. It has it’s roots in Ayurveda, Traditional Thai Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine and follows the principles of invisible energy lines running through the body. When the body suffers from pain, stiffness, injury or a general sense of unwell- ness it is believed to stem from blockages of these energy pathways. - The receiver is fully clothed in comfortable wear and guided through a series of Yoga like postures and deep stretches linked to their breath. Pressure is applied along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points using the giver's palms, thumbs, elbows, forearms, knees and also feet. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically as well as treating a myriad of ailments ranging from back pain, sciatic pain, joint/muscle pain, numbness or poor circulation and more. No heavy oils are used and a massage takes place either on a comfortable yet firm floor mat or can be tailored to a massage table. - Clara discovered her passion for this healing art after beginning her journey at Lotus Palm, Montreal, Canada in 2011. She humbly continues her advanced studies with her teachers on annual trips to Chiang Mai, the Thai Massage Mecca of Thailand. Clara is also a Government certified affiliate teacher to TMC Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai and is passionate about sharing and teaching this healing art. - Clara’s treatments are highly intuitive and practiced with mindfulness, an open heart and are individually tailored to the receiver.
