So where does ARQ come from? It's all about Family. I spent my childhood in my mothers salon but i also had a passion for dancing. After years in the Arts as a professional dancer, I hung up my dancing shoes to join my mother, Anna, at her salon on Fulham Palace Road in 2014. Anna's Hair Salon was founded in 1992 and grew from strength to strength, with a warm and welcoming environment that became a hub for so many families in Fulham. She did this whilst raising my sister and I alone.

In 2017 we sadly lost Anna to cancer, but she left behind a lasting legacy which I have been proud to continue. In 2020 I became a Wella Master Color Expert, joining a very small group of elite colour experts across the UK, and in 2021 we joined the Green Salon Collective, recycling everything, right down to the hair!

In 2024 with our lease up and the landlord intending to convert the site to residential we sadly had to close Anna's Hair Salon, bringing to an end 33 years of hair excellence.

A personally very difficult time, having grown up in the Salon, I took the decision to rebrand to ARQ Hair, relocate to Fulham Road, and look to the future. ARQ honours our legacy, it stands for Anna, Ricardo, Quintino. Anna for my mum, who set me on the path into hair, Ricardo to reflect I have picked up the baton from my mum, and Quintino - my mum's maiden name and that of my Grandfather who has offered so much support to us both. It's a true family business.
