We have a particular specialism in tuina Chinese massage. This versatile and effective therapy, probably the precursor of acupuncture alongside which it is often used, has grown and developed over the past few thousand years. It can be used to treat a wide range of conditions including: joint pain, injuries and imbalances; migraine and tension headaches, IBS and digestive imbalances, asthma and respiratory conditions, menstrual and fertility issues, insomnia and anxiety.
The style of tuina practiced is based on the classical Chinese idea of qi which allows a quiet, deep focus on affected areas, while promoting balance within the whole. Hands-on treatment is supported by life style advice tailored to individual needs.
Founder of Apothecary and lead practitioner Rosey Grandage MCSP MBAcC is a physiotherapist who traveled to China throughout the 1990’s studying and practicing acupuncture, tuina and qi gong.
