Earlier this year I decided to try Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment methods for a long term chronic injury I have had for many years. After having several courses of physiotherapy in the past I felt I needed to explore other treatment options as I had reached a peak in recovery and still experienced discomfort. I happened to stumble across an advert for Oriental Health Care and made an appointment. After having a thorough consultation with one of the doctors I was prescribed a course of acupuncture and massage along with some cupping and ultra sound therapy. The treatment has definitely had a positive impact on my body and well being. Tension and stiffness in the affected area which I've learnt was due to lack of blood and energy flow has been greatly reduced and has improved my concentration and performance at work and I'm not in discomfort any longer. The staff and doctors at the clinic are very kind and caring and work cohesively to support patients. I can't thank them enough for the kindness and support they have offered me in healing my injury. I am really impressed with their expertise in their field as health practitioners. They were able to monitor my response to treatment and adjust and adapt their methods for the desired result. The clinic itself is very clean, spacious and provides a calm tranquil environment to receive treatment. Also I might add the cost of treatment was quite reasonable in comparison to other clinics. I would have no hesitation and would delight in recommending Oriental Healthcare to anybody who is interested. It is certainly worth to try!
I am very surprised at the bad comments received by these people, unless of course the masseur has changed. I went for a deep body massage that i needed due to a medical condition and I kid you nor, the massage received was like no other i have ever experienced before or since. I was off to Barcelona that week and if it were not for the massage i had, i simply would not been able to travel. Due to them i was able to enjoy not only Barcelona but also Morocco. I have often wondered and wished that I could have at least 4 a month of which I know i would benefit from. If you want a run at the mill massage then go to a boutique that probably has one at the back, if you are serious and require the best, then this is a place where you should start. I am glad i found them again and although a bit expensive for multi booking, I will endeavor to try and keep them in my life routine. Recommend without a seconds hesitation!!
While the woman who runs Oriental Healthcare is very kind, I have to say this was the worst "massage" I've ever, ever had. To give a point of relevance, I usually enjoy places that have less "frills". But this location seemed to be slapped together and never given a hoover once. They were about 35 minutes late and I was given a book of positive comments to read before being given my treatment. The "masseuse" basically POKED at my back for 45 minutes while a heat lamp was put over other areas. There was no skill and, seemingly, zero experience in giving any type of massage. I'm not sure about their other homoeopathic offerings, but the massage purchases should be avoided.
Booked this for my brother - in - law who couldn't stop gushing about the therapist who knew exactly how to treat his shoulder and managed to release his neck which has been stiff and sore for weeks. He was much happier for his return flight back to Singapore. he was also given heat patches to help ease any subsequent stiffness. A very happy customer who has requested to return here next time he is back in the UK.
I didn't end up having a Lymphatic drainage massage, as I was offered an accupuncture and massage session instead. Having never tried this before, I didn't realise the massage would be so painful - it's taken over 2 days to recover! The original booking was a treat to myself after a rough couple of weeks at work. The staff are very thorough and friendly, but I feel they could have explained the consequences of me agreeing to change the type of massage. I guess others wouldn't have agreed to the change. I'm going back in a week (good sales techniques!) so hopefully it wouldn't be as painful. I will post again to advise if the accupuncture has been worth it!
