This definitely wasn’t a deep tissue massage it just felt like a general full body massage. I highlighted my problem areas before entering which were mainly my lower back and left shoulder. I also requested for my face to not be massaged. My main reason for going was lower back pain and the masseuse didn’t even touch my lower back. She focused on my shoulders but didn’t remove any of the knots there. She also massaged my face at the end which I specifically asked not to have. Disappointing.

I visited Voila on September 15 and explicitly communicated three times that I have a serious lower back condition and that no pressure should be applied there. I informed the front desk, documented it on the intake form, and told the therapist directly. Despite this, the therapist applied significant pressure to my lower back, causing pain and forcing me to ask her to stop. This was entirely avoidable, and I'm concerned about future impact. I have received no response/acknowledgment/refund.
