Very happy with the massage although I'd booked for a traditional thai massage where you're fully dressed. After they took the booking got a call to say no-one was around so I had to have oil and pay a little extra.
It saddens me to have to say that this place has gone down very badly. It is the second time I have a really bad waxing experience with the same person. I am left bruised, covered in wax and having to literally deal with it because the therapist just walks away. Today I was also going to have a massage but was asked to get dressed and go back to reception to pay first. I did not have enough cash so had to leave the place to get cash. I paid and cancelled the massage. I will not be coming back. Shame, it really used to be a lovely place.
The venue was really lovely, and the lady at the front desk was very nice too.
I had booked a hot stone massage through Treatwell, and the salon called to say that the treatment was not available and offered me an alternative (Thai poultice massage), which I accepted. So my review is based on this treatment.
It was my first visit and I let them know. I would have preferred more information to be volunteered by the front desk and my therapist, but I had to do a lot of digging - for example, who do I speak to about pressure and focus areas, who is my therapist, what is my therapist's name, what is the loyalty programme. etc etc.
I was not introduced to my therapist, she only came in after I was instructed by the front desk to just lie down in the room. I had to explain to my therapist my preferences and focus areas whilst I was on the table facing down. It wasn't very effective communication. So I didn't get the massage pressure or the focus areas I wanted. I felt that the therapist came in in a hurry and left in a hurry. After the massage, I recognised my therapist in the corridor but she quickly hid away with her earphones to avoid any communication. The experience was a little strange. However, the massage itself was acceptable. I may try their hot stone massage one day because I have a friend who raves about it. But at the moment I am not so sure.
