I was a little disappointed this time around as usually I love this place.
Firstly the treatment that I booked was not what I actually got. I wanted a deep cleansing facial and body massage and a body scrub, which is why I booked this package. I got an express facial, and head and shoulder massage, a full body scrub and a milk bath. This meant I only had half an hour for my treatments so each one was slightly rushed. I ended up paying more at the venue for a full body massage.
When I arrived the staff were surprised to see me and were looking for my booking despite me booking at least 4 days in advance- tip: they have 2 booking systems and don’t check the Treatwell bookings very often so CALL them to confirm your booking. This is not the first time this has happened to me, and despite me being the first to arrive to the venue, they have always tried to move me to a later time. Also, when they make this mistake, they don’t offer any compensation for it..no discount for any additional treatments you buy to fill the time for their booking mistakes. Though I managed to keep my booking and the other customer was called and asked to come back later- I felt like I was a nuisance.
I started 20mins after arrival due to the booking miss-hap.
Facial I ended up getting an express rather then deep cleansing but rianne is amazing at them; really tentative and gentle, always applying the right pressure. I still would’ve wanted a deep cleansing but she had a booking which meant I was not able to get this treatment.
The scrub is usually amazing but this time I was not as satisfied with my treatment as the staff used luke warm water to wet my skin- this resulted in me feeling cold during the treatment. Luckily the last part is to shower so I was able to warm up before the massage.
Massage was great! I paid an extra 25 quid to get a full body.
Milk bath was pleasant but I wasn’t sure how long I could stay so I soaked for about 10 mins before getting out.
In general the place is clean, I love the double room that I was put in.
