Unfortunately the make up artist booked didn’t arrive in time and so another member of staff had to do my make up, otherwise there was a wait of 30 mins between hair and makeup. Chap doing my hair said he couldn’t put it up as was too short- shoulder length hair and curls fell out later that day. I felt desperately sorry for the staff- especially the girl on the front desk - who ended up doing my make up- as she tried so hard and kept apologising. Had a feeling she was left to handle a lot in one day and it came across disorganised. Wasn’t v relaxing.

Booked an appointment for the 20th of May on the Monday, arrived at around 2 and was told they didn’t have any foils in and would I be able to wait until the stylists friend came and gave her some, after a phone call I was then told the stylist was going to have to get the foils herself and was I okay to wait in the salon as she went and picked these up... I said sure and after another five minutes, of what seemed to be this stylist trying to find reasons to not do my hair, I was then told that this now was not an option as the only other person in the salon was the masseuse and as she locked her door when she was with a client this wasn’t an option as I’d be the only person in the salon. I was then told the only other option was to come back in the next day. The excuse for not having foil at 2pm in the afternoon? My stylist has assumed that someone else would have gotten it in... even though she openly admitted knowing I was the first client in for a hair dye so surely she should have checked before I arrived? There was a shop literally a few doors down that would have taken 2 mins to go to. So, after having been excited to get my hair done I thought I may aswell just leave it for another day... I was then told I would get a free conditioning treatment and I could chose my appointment to be at anytime of the day. The next day I come in and I have my hair and nails booked. I never received this conditioning treatment and I was left with complete horizontal lines of blonde through my hair. The hairdresser I had on the Tuesday was a different one to the Monday so I was obviously thrown at someone else to sort out the original hairdressers mess up. It felt as though I was being rushed because of this and i was left with my hair looking like I had 3 inch roots - and even worse at the back. After the cock up on the Monday and the state of my hair I honestly feel as though this has been my worst experience in a salon yet. My recent trip to a new salon where i was treated with the utmost care and friendliness made me realise that there was a level of care a salon should hold for their customers and with VIP it totally missed the mark. I look back at pictures of what my hair looked like and im embarrassed, I’ve now had to pay almost 200 and spent 5 hours getting my hair colour corrected. As for my nail technician - she was lovely and I did love my nails, she was 100% the friendliest one there and was honestly the highlight of the experience.
