We booked the restore day spa package, we enjoyed the treatments and the staff were lovely, the only thing was once the treatments had finished we went to use the spa facilities and what we walked into was children screaming as they where having a swimming lesson, one of the hot tubs where not working and there where no spa beds by the pool to relax as children and parents where already sitting on the only few there where! So me and my boyfriend only ended up staying 20minutes until we decided to leave and we had booked the whole day there! The staff asked if we had a lovely time, yes we did for the first hour but after that we didn't and we won't be going back.

We went for the Made to Measure spa day. The welcome to the hotel was perfect from the hotel reception and they directed us straight to the spa, which is just before you enter the leisure facilities. However the spa staff had no idea who we were and what we were there for even though we had spoken the day before and confirmed our booking and time to arrive. We were guided to the "relaxation space" and the member of staff proceeded to turn the lights off leaving us in darkness for about 20 minutes. We were then asked several times what treatments we were coming in for all the way until we actually having the treatments done! We thought this was quite unprofessional and lacking that customer service you expect. The treatments were very good and we both enjoyed them. The sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool are in the hotel leisure facilities, which are actually a separate entity to the treatment part of the experience. We had to pay an additional £1 for the locker, and had to remind the staff about the towels (which are meant to be provided). Again we felt the customer service was lacking. We would advise to not go on a Saturday morning as the pool has child swimming lessons which we were not informed of until that day. The food in the pub upstairs was perfect. The only downside is that a lot of people come in to watch the Saturday afternoon football. So that isn't quite in theme with the rest of a relaxing day. Overall an okay experience, but we don't think we will be repeating it at this venue.

I would highly recommend a Spa day at the Village Hotel. Facilities are great and nice and clean. The lunch was very nice and well enjoyed. Treatments were amazing and the staff were very friendly and approachable.
