This is a difficult one but think I better give the heads up to anyone contemplating using a voucher at this Spa. I purchased a voucher to use at the hotel I was staying in; the village hotel, bury Manchester. The AO is misleading, you aren't able to actually book using it.
I tried many times to get through to the salon on their phone number but no luck. I went to the salon and advised them that I had a treatwell voucher and the recrptionist's expression seemed to change.
I was told that they had no appointments until the following week. I advised the receptionist that I was only staying until Saturday and that I'd been trying to get through on the phone and thought that purchasing the treatwell voucher would help but was disappointed that it didn't allow me to actually book but that I'd left a message on the spa's voicemail with my room number and mobile number.
The receptionist said she couldn't help me and advised me and that they'd been having problems with their phone for "ages". She advised me to check the expired date of the voucher. I checked and saw that I could cancel as long as I hadn't used the voucher to book a treatment with the salon. The receptionist smiled and said that was probably best.
How's that for customer service? Where can I leave this feedback? I don't want others to have the same negative experience.
I booked and went for an ESPA Essential Facial and was not disappointed. I'd had the shorter facial before (approximately 25 minutes) which I had thoroughly enjoyed but I had treated myself to the longer treatment and was not disappointed. I felt completely pampered and relaxed and I loved the ESPA products used.
Unless you are on a spa day you've got limited spa facilities, but I'm a member of the gym so I can use the pool etc anyway. If you're just having a treatment, you only usually get the use of the relaxation area.
The staff were helpful, friendly and polite as I've always found them to be and the treatment was fantastic. Can't wait to pamper myself here again soon.
I use the Viva Spa at Bury on a regular basis and I am always very satisfied with my treatments. The life saving back massage or the hot stones back massage are two of my favourite and always leave me feeling extremely relaxed and pampered. The staff have always been polite and professional and the spa itself has always been clean and relaxing. I will be back again soon!

The spa facilities were great and the staff really helpful and friendly. The only downside was having to eat lunch in the public bar area. It would have been nicer to remain in my gown and enjoy lunch within an area of the spa, this would have been more relaxing than having to get changed and have lunch in a busy public area surrounded by business people on their laptops ! The treatments were great and no criticism at all in respect of this experience.
