I had a lovely time at this salon. Kevin was great he paid a lot of attention to my manicure and pedicure. His colleague did my eyebrow colour and she did it very nicely. They both couldn’t do more for me. The owner was very helpful too.
I will be going back.
Extremely convenient to book a (very cheap) last minute service at 7pm!
Sadly it was too good to be true. They didn’t brush or trim my eyebrows, just thread and oil before and after. Eyebrows were efficient but too quick, I kept having to ask them to do more as they looked unfinished. I had asked to keep them full & thick but didn’t think this meant I wouldn’t have the shape tidied. 3/5.
The wax was the absolute worst and most painful I’ve ever had. The room was dirty when I entered with remnants from someone else’s wax on the bed still & on the side table. Therapist did not leave the room for me to change or lay a clean towel or sheet down. I was skin on skin with the dirty sheet and was very worried about getting a skin infection. Therapist was extremely inexperienced (or simply untrained), started waxing in random patches with no plan. It felt like she was just trying to rip everything as fast as possible so she could go back and watch the England FIFA match. She didn’t finish the wax / did it so poorly I eventually pointed out specific areas for her to fix and then said it was too painful. By the end I had headphones in and was trying not to yell with each strip. The technique she used on my butt was also one I had never experienced in my time getting waxed. Extremely bizarre and uncomfortable for the person being waxed & I did try to suggest lying in the position I’ve been instructed to do every other time I’ve had a wax but she insisted lying face down & spreading my cheeks.
My lady parts are raw and red now from her waxing over so many times, and feel very violated of having been exposed to the filthy sheet.
The whole experience left me annoyed. They clearly know the craft (eg threading / waxing) but are not trained or professional.
Thoroughly disappointed and won’t be going back again - what’s the point in getting a Hollywood wax when you have to finish it yourself at home?
