Unfortunately, this is not a fake review. I contacted the salon to politely ask if they could fix their mistake, only to be met with passive-aggressive denial and gaslighting.
Please think twice before getting your hair done here.
I now have to pay another salon to correct the horrendous dye job. I originally paid £90 for warm, autumnal copper tones — instead, my hair was dyed a dark brown. When I asked about correcting it, I was told it would cost another £140. Expecting a customer to pay nearly double because the colour went wrong is outrageous. Apart from which, she had no right to be angry at me for asking, I remained calm and gentle in tone throughout our conversatio, I was hoping for her to help!
The stylist refused to acknowledge any error and even seemed annoyed that I had changed my mind from original blonde highlights to light copper — despite ariving half an hour earlier to the salon and calling, but they weren’t even busy anyway. She hadn't mixed any colours, I was there before her. I took up 2 hours of a three hour appointment, the hair cut took her maybe 5 minutes from start to finish.
I then emailed the owner, hoping for a reasonable solution. The reply? A dismissive message claiming they receive “too many emails to respond.” It’s a tiny salon in Chorlton — who are they kidding?
I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but the service here was genuinely appalling. I hope this warns others to avoid the same experience.
On reading the response, more gaslighting. I didn't chose the colour, the stylist did. I didn't say I didn't want bleach, the stylists partner said it wasn't necessary. I asked for their opinions and they got it wrong. It's ok to get things wrong, it's not ok to tell me it's my fault. I called back and asked her if she could correct it and lighten it, not to go blonde. She said it would cost £140. Perhaps she misunderstood me, again, that's ok, what's not ok is how this was handled. You can see from my other reviews I support local businesses, I used to own a shop in chorlton so I know the power reviews have. Rather than be so defensive, why not try and fix things?? Also, your number says "cannot connect" I'm more than happy to discuss this, this is why I called you yesterday!
Afsane is great! She dyed and cut my hair beautifully. The colour is better that what I expected. It feels like I eventually found my hair stylist. She knows what she is doing and what suits me. I totally recommend her. I also had my eyebrows done by Marjan. She had done such a neat and thorough job. Very happy with her.
Absolutely amazing! I have the best time coming here and the experience is always great. Tina, Sarina, Soli and everyone else are extremely friendly and talented at what they do. I’ve been going here for a good few years now and they always get my nails perfect and just the way I want it. Great service overall! Highly recommended 🥰
Today was my first visit to Va Va Voom Beauty Rooms and honestly, it was the best experience I’ve ever had.
I had my wash, cut, and blow-dry with Erica, a full set of acrylic nails with Soli, and a pedicure with Samira and everything was absolutely perfect.
Erica gave me the exact haircut I wanted and did the most beautiful blow-dry my hair looked amazing.
Soli recreated my nail design exactly how I imagined it precise and flawless.
And Samira gave me the best pedicure ever ,super relaxing and professional.
The whole team was so friendly and welcoming they even offered me coffee ☕️
I’m really thankful to all of them, and I’ll definitely be coming back again 💕
