I could not fault our entire over night stay at the Alexander. From the moment we arrived the staff were prompt, courteous and respectful of all our requirements. Nothing was too much bother and the staff were just the right level of attentive and not imposing. We visited earlier than our check in time for afternoon tea and then once checked at 3pm for our stay went on to use the facilities, all of it was impeccably presented and really impressive.
Some people have commented on the noise factor of the pool, yes it is noisy when the indoor Jacuzzi is on full pelt but this is because of the pressure it creates (exactly what it's supposed to do!) and therefore the subsequent noise, equally keep in mind that like a lot of hotels the pool is on the ground floor/basement which amplifies the noise somewhat. However this is no different to our stays in other hotels, such as the Grand in Eastbourne that also has the same lay out.
I paid for my partner to have the 40 minutes Swedish massage and he said it was fantastic. His therapist applied the desired amount of pressure and he was left feeling very relaxed and knot free. In comparison to places such as The Treatment Rooms in Brighton (best massage I've ever had) yes, the cost is on the higher side, but then you are paying for the facilities and the caliber of the environment too.
The food was great and our room was beautiful, we will most definitely be returning next year to celebrate our anniversary in style!
The only con I can say for our stay was that booking via Treatwell made it a little difficult. When you book on the site you are asked if the purchase is a gift, as was the case in my instance. However, when then confirming my reservation earlier in the week in which we were staying I became rather worried when it could not be located, this was because even though the booking was on my card they had used the 'recipients' name on everything else as reference and had therefore double booked all of our other reservations. Unfortunately the booking department that I spoke to incurred several issues on the phone and weren't able to help me much, however by the time we arrive at the hotel everything had been sorted accordingly. Just keep in this in mind!

A lovely setting and wonderful spa. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the very ample and well designed suites in the new building. On our next stay we will opt for the fine dining restaurant as the meal in the standard restaurant, included in our package wasn't great - and we're not fussy eaters.

Messy pool area., towels, magazines, glasses left strewn about. Slow restaurant staff with poor attention to detail, plates regularly not collected at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ran out of beans, pastries, peppermint tea. Overall definitely not a 5 star experience. Other reviews reveal the same issues. Will avoid in future.

Lovely hotel and spa, only complaint being the pool was dirty (debris on the foor and stuff floating around), also found some paper/card in the hot tub. Otherwise very nice all round. The complimentary nibbles in the spa waiting area was a nice touch and the outdoor hot tub was a very relaxing. Food was pricey but very nice, recommended on the whole

All of their staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were guaranteed for the room by 3pm on the day but they were about 10 minutes late which we weren’t that bother, but when they finally gave us our room at 3:15 , it came with the complimentary of glass of champagne as an apology, a very nice gesture! I thought there was no better way to keep your customers happy and coming back again! Well done!
The spa was lovely, we have been to many spa in the UK and Alexander hotel has to be one of the top! The water temperature was just right and the size of the spa/ swimming pool was perfect.
In the restaurant , the food and service were top notch, services in this hotel were flawless. We could tell all waitresses, waiters were well trained and by certain standard.
We definitely would return to this hotel soon.

Although I was feeling very ill with a flu bug on the day of my arrival I enjoyed myself so much. Every aspect was just perfect and I left feeling so much better and almost on top of the world.

First things first, the rooms are absolutely amazing!! The spa is great with lots of different option. We also had dinner at Reflections which was excellent!! The breakfast on the other hand was very disappointing. It was almost as though the breakfast was run by a different kitchen to dinner even though it was in the same restaurant. Apart from breakfast we had a really good time and would certainly think about returning.

From the moment I arrived to eventually leaving in a very relaxed state, my Spa Day at Alex House was simply wonderful. A much needed break from the hustle and bustle of London work life. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thank you.
