Manicure was ok for value but staff doesn't seem too friendly and attentive.
I had booked massage and pedicure through treatwell. First of all they cancelled the massage at the very last minute without calling me to let me know before my arrival there. What is more although I arrived on time I had to wait an extra 15min until the pedicure treatment started. The salon was in poor cleanliness condition making me feel unease, also I was asked to sit at the chair next to the TV that was playing music really loud making the whole experience more unpleasant. The lady that did my pedicure seem to be in a rush and was the least attentive person I have ever encountered, at first she let me soak my feet in cold water ( I had to ask twice for her to warm it up during the treatment). Also she didn't cut/shape my nails or offer a massage as someone would expect for a "deluxe pedicure" Unfortunately I didn't feel that paying that little extra for the "deluxe pedicure" worth it at all. Finally when I asked for the receipt I was given a piece of paper with the price handwritten as their machine was not working??..( They only accept cash) Overall very poor service and i wouldn't recommend it .
I had a manicure and shellac polish. It was a really nice manicure and for a change, the manicurist herself was proficient and conscientious enough to check that she cut all the nails to the same height (not just on one hand but comparing the respective fingers on both hands) without me asking for it. It's petty, I know, but it bothers me when the nails are irregular after I went to the effort of getting a manicure. The Shellac application unfortunately wasn't quite as successful - I opted for a nude colour instd of anything bright, and under the phosphorus lighting inside the salon, my nails looked ok. But once outside, there were pinkish irregular streaks all over the nails which made the polish look very 'home made'. It might have been the polish itself and not the application, but I wished the manicurist would have said so and offered me a different shade instd of just keeping schtumm, hoping I'd be far away from the salon when I notice it. As a result, I was away from the salon when I noticed it and when at home, I put a top coat of glitter polish on my nails to cover the irregularities. It worked but of course, it's counterproductive to have your nails done by a professional only to then feel the need to cover their work.
