Had I know that a pediucre was to just paint my toe nails I wouldn't have booked this treatment. With that being said the gel manicure was good and the staff are very friendly.

Lovely front of house guy. Moody and almost rude manicurist but did a decent enough job for a cheap mani. I've been here before and the manicurist was perfect, but not this time.

The manager and staff seem quite nice at USA Star Nails but I felt quite uncomfortable because, apart from requiring basic building work, the whole salon is in dire need of a deep clean from top to bottom. I can accept that chairs are a little worn, in fact, I don't mind that - I'm more than happy with shabby chic - but that's not what this is. There's clutter and visible dirt everywhere, which is very off-putting; if the salon itself is not clean, that doesn't bode well for the hygiene standards of the staff, tools and other accoutrements in use. For example, as I was having my pedicure I had a wonderful view of a virtual slum kitchen that the poor staff were having to utilise. The young man doing my manicure bought a rather cruddy looking hand bath out of this dubious location and I noticed that after use, he simply emptied it into the sink and popped it on a shelf without even a perfunctory rinse. On top of that, although the pedicurist did a good (if rather severe) job, it was unpleasantly obvious she’d rather be anywhere else (I can hardly blame her!) and the manicure chipped that day. Regrettably, the whole place made my skin crawl and I would not recommend it or return. You’ve been warned!
