Got seen straight away which was good. Pedicure was also quite good, however I chose white nail varnish which he only applied twice so it's more grey then white so I will have to repaint my nails myself.
Overall it was an ok to poor experience for £17.50. Manager was very short on the phone when I called to ask about timeslots but was pleasant, if abrupt, in person. The salon was pretty grubby (they didn't change the paper mats on the manicure tables in between previous client, myself and my friend) and was generally a bit run down and shabby (it is nowhere near as professional and clinical as the promotional pictures suggest). The girl doing my manicure was nice enough. I asked her however, not to leave a gap between the gel polish and my cuticle line as I don't like that finish. She acknowledged...and then left a gap anyway. The overall finish is however neat and is still on two days later. The young man who started off doing my friend's nails was awful. He was filing her nails really aggressively and hurt her. He was paying no attention to her or her comfort, was chewing gum loudly, laughing and talking to his colleague. Thankfully, the same girl who did my nails took over to complete my friend's gel manicure, as we were about to complain. Wouldn't go again.
i had a gel pedicure and have awarded four stars - the pedicure itself was good and i was pleased with the colour application. I do get annoyed though that they changed technicians mid-way through, twice and the staff were not particularly friendly - but they are good at what they do which is the main thing.
