this was the first time that I got Gel nails. I was very happy with the service. My only reason for giving 4 star for the Ambiance is that it was cold. I would have welcome the heating being on. Nonetheless I have booked my next treatment
Firstly, I booked a Shellac manicure and pedicure, lasting 2 hours. The salon doesn't even have shellac polish! Then she informs me that I am having a file and paint. I argued that I had booked and paid for a manicure and pedicure and she said I had booked something different. No, I didn't. Then she was very critical about my nails. I get shellac manicure often but hadn't for about a month. And she kept on about the same point, made me feel very uncomfortable. And she didn't even paint the whole nail, she left a good 2mm at the bottom of my nails. And that's just a few things I wasn't happy with. In short, I will not be going back. A lot of money for a very basic treatment, with criticism and a poor job thrown in. Oh, and one of my nails has already chipped. 3 days later!
A bit pricey but worth it.
Pedicure was great. Really relaxed place. Lady was lovely. Gave some great advice. Will now be using as my regular!
The set-up is pleasant - nice and small. The manicure was not great as I have had better. For the discount price it was worth it but if I had to pay the full price I would have expected a much better outcome. For example my cuticles where not all cut back and I was told that it they attempt to cut them they would bleed. They then cut back a couple and there was no bleed. Had the question been asked I would have said that they have never bled in all the years that I have had a manicure. My point is that they need to ask the question and not assume. Putting that aside I would go back again as the second experience may be totally different.
