Really pleased with my treatment and the ambience of the salon its spot on! staff are lovely too!
Good hair cut
Very nice friendly hairdressers. Good overall service. The place looks much nicer now that has got bigger, with view to the street.
Friendly and attentive stylist. Nice cut and dry.
I visited Hair FoR you Salon on Wednesday 30th Aug after Facebook messaging the salon asking if they could make my hair like the picture below. I was told it was possible upon coming in to the salon and showing them the picture again, I was told it was possible again and that they could do it. After visiting the Salon, I left upset as they dyed my hair to look nothing like the picture. Instead of bleached white hair with black roots, he used a toner on my hair after bleaching it. Even worse my hair is completely brittle and ruined- which has not happened on my previous treatments in the last month. I returned the next day with my sister for moral support, to explain I was not happy and had left the day before upset but unable to say anything. I was told to come back today Tuesday 6th Sept. When I went in today - I was told that the hairdresser had done what I had asked (even though I had showed them the look I wanted on Facebook and in person at the salon) and that he couldn't make everyone happy as he was not God. He was extremely rude - telling my sister (who accompanied me) to sit down by the window and explained that we were being aggressive coming in together on the previous occasion?!? He said also my hair was brittle as I had had it dyed abroad attempting to mitigate his mistake of ruining my hair. Surely as the hair professional he should have advised me against getting the hair dyed again - seeing as I've never really dyed my hair before this summer! He said the toner would wash out eventually after 50 washes (yet on the day they ruined my hair I was told it'd be 15-20washes!) After a lot of speaking to me and attempting to deflect any responsibility, I asked how he would sort out my hair. He said that they could remove the toner. I asked how and he said using chemicals and I said no to that as I do not want to damage my hair more. He then offered to wash it out using shampoo - when asked what shampoo he said strong shampoo, but I explained I've been shampooing regularly to try and get rid of the grey colour which has aged me by ten years! He then said he would also give me half price on the next treatment and I explained candidly that I would not return their for future treatments given they've ruined my hair. He then became agitated, repeatedly scrolling through his photo album on his phone, showing me his own hair styles with blonde hair, which was not helpful as I didn't want to know about his hair, but how he'd remedy the mess he'd made with my hair. I told him I didn't want him washing out the toner with chemicals (ruining my hair further) or washing out the toner with repeated shampoos as I could do that at home and it didn't resolve the fact my hair was ruined becoming brittle and falling out. I asked for a refund which he refused outright telling me he didn't do what customers wanted, and that he had used chemicals and time and effort. I explained I appreciated that but the end result was my hair looked nothing like the picture I showed and was damaged. I said I would leave a negative review on treat well, on social media and tell friends and family to boycott the salon, to which he became agitated and said I was behaving aggressively? If a hair salon refuses to issue a refund after being negligent and completely ruining someone's hair - I am within my rights leaving negative reviews and letting friends and family know to avoid this place. He eventually offered me a partial cash refund of £40.00 on a £75.00 treatment after half an hour of negotiation, and after I suggested either a partial refund or hair care products to repair my hair. He only compromised on a partial refund because he was worried about the negative review rather than the damage he'd caused to my hair and the completely different look I have been given in relation to what I requested. Whilst the guys are nice, my experience of this place is you don't get what you want and my hair is damaged severely. I was told that I should leave a negative review which I am going to do as others should be wary. I visited this place based on positive reviews on treatwell and have found the service provided to be poor. See the pictures and judge for yourself.
