Everything about my experience at the salon was absolutely amazing, they were more than accommodating and the staff were lovely, chatty and professional. However my experience with Treatwell was less so. My confirmation email went straight into my spam (there should be some kind of warning so that the customer knows to check their spam folder) so I never received the email saying that Treatwell would have to reschedule my appointment, I only found out when I called the salon on the day to confirm my appointment. They had no record of my appointment (because Treatwell had allowed me to book in a slot that was not available) and I had to reschedule at very short notice to the next morning (thank you Wax Bar staff for being so helpful with this!) When I then complained to Treatwell, the person who replied to my email did nothing but pass the buck on to the salon itself, which I did not consider fair or professional considering it was totally Treatwell's fault, not Wax Bar, as they had never received a booking from Treatwell. Overall very disappointed and will not be using this service again, I had used it to compare reviews, but I'm sure I can find another website that can do the same thing without messing up my booking.
One of the best treatments I have had in my time. Colleen was really professional, great result and long-lasting.
5.0 star rating 15/5/2016 I've been to the Wax Bar about three times now for a Brazillian wax and have had a great expereince all three times. Their beauty therapists are quick and efficient, have all been really pleasant to chat too and have made the experience as comfortable as possible. Also they offer student discount on certain days (I forget which ones but you can call and ask) which makes the whole thing really quite competitively priced. There are cheaper alternatives in Edinburgh but I've tried loads of these and none of them have rendered the same experience as the Wax Bar. In one place I was burned with hot wax, and in another they actually used strip wax (not recommended for intimate areas) and came out in bruises for a week. I would definitely recommend not trying to cut corners and just going to these guys, they know what they're doing.
All fine and adequate.
