I've been coming here for a little while now and I think it's fantastic! Sue is incredibly friendly and helps you feel at ease. The sugaring is great for sensitive skin like mine and has helped a lot. The prices are also very reasonable, very pleased with this discovery.
Sugaring is very different to waxing. This method of removing hair has no risk of you being burnt (as the sugar is not hot), lasts longer, your skin feels much softer and when hairs come through the do not feel as coarse as after waxing. I have now used sugaring to remove unwanted hair for about 2 years now. Initially, I was really apprehensive and thought it was going to the same as waxing...wrong!
Sugaring is not at quick - whip the hairs of job - time is taken to get to the root and thus it takes longer for you to see new growth. Waxing my half leg normally takes 20 Minutes maximum and rarely does the therapist use tweezers ! Waxing always makes me feel as though I am on a conveyor belt !
Sugaring my half leg takes at least 30-40 mins and therefore a more thorough job is done.. Ensuring I do not need to return as often. Since I started sugaring I have had to wax my legs on 2 or 3 occasions as the sugaring therapist was unavailable - I have on these occasions had to go back and get my legs sugared in under 2 weeks !! Sugaring definitely lasts longer than waxing - about an extra 2 weeks than when I have used wax - and I would suggest that if you get the chance - find a beautician who offers sugaring - and compare the results to waxing... I would be very surprised if you ever wanted to wax your legs again!!
Sue was every bit the professional, even when I turned up having disobeyed her instructions on pre-care and the sugaring was not having the desired effect in some parts. However end-results were just as I hoped, and I would definitely use the services of the Sugaring Academy again!
