Booked for "indulgent spa break".
Spa was great, meal was adequate, but stay was ruined by room: too hot and located immediately above entrance an reception area so kept awake for most of the night.
Enjoyed the option of breakfast in our room the following morning.
We booked the over night stay with 2 spa treatments, dinner and breakfast. Spa was lovely supper clean and modern. My therapist was Lindsay she was very professional and catered for skin type and avoided areas where I had just had beautiful treatments. I found the whole experience very relaxing, the food at the restaurant was also very nice. If I had to pick a flaw it would be the bathroom in the hotel room could of used some tlc. Will definitely be booking another stay in the future.
The spa overnight was good up until the evening meal, drinks and the breakfast the following morning. The food was substandard, we ordered off the a la carte menu, the chips were burnt the steak was overdone it stated mushroom on the plate and it was a tomato, when we said about the meal the waitress just said sorry. Then we got cocktails from the bar we ordered Belvedere mules only to be served Russian standard vodka, we said to the bar-person she said sorry and we were offered another drink but not that one as there was no raspberries left that would explain the little bits of raspberry in the drinks to start with. In the morning we booked breakfast to the room between 815-830 still no sign @ 910 am phoned up restaurant oh sorry again its on its way, 925 breakfast nearly an hour late. Breakfast swimming in grease tasteless egg raw inedible toast cold and no jam, phoned restaurant again sent more toast up just as cold. Disaster on the food and drink side. When checking out the girl asked how our stay was we told her sorry again. I have been to other MacDonald Hotels on spa breaks and they have been excellent, i would not return here.

It was great! One thing though, for the Hotel itself.... £6.70 for two glasses of lemonade half filled with ice?!
