My friends and I had a lovely time at this hotel. Everything was beautiful. The spa was such a treat and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. We really had such a relaxing experience. The only downside at the spa was there wasn't enough loungers by the pool for the many people wanting them.
The hotel was really classy, so pretty but a little draughty downstairs. The dinner and afternoon tea was beautiful. Breakfast wasn't as good, the bacon looked barely cooked. However the staff were lovely and very professional.
Overall the 4 of us loved our stay, had very comfortable rooms and want to go back next year.

Staff were lovely in hotel and in spa. Room was great.
Restaurant was very busy Saturday night so couldn’t eat in there, a charity function was on. But wasn’t noisy just very busy. Breakfast Sunday morning was very busy, no vegetarian sausage even though we had emailed weeks ago to say we were veggies, but otherwise breakfast was good.
Not too far from home, so was a great to be able to get there quickly, and enjoy the whole day relaxing - very good afternoon tea! Ate too much!!! WHO CARES!! 😉
55min treatment (massage) and cream tea package (2 people)
On arriving, there was no staff at the spa reception so the cleaners handed us a towel/robe/slipper and told us to come back to the reception later. The spa facilities were fine and the massages were good, despite having to tell the staff which treatment we were having. When leaving the spa the reception staff were unsure if we had paid or not and used my phone to forward themselves confirmation emails to their account.
We arrived to the main house for the cream tea and the bar staff did not seem to understand why we were there or what deal we had. Once seated, we had another member of staff come to ask us what deal we had purchased. We were in a nice room but sadly there was a lady taking numerous conference calls in the same room. We understand this is a hotel but you would think the tea would be served in a separate room and guests would be asked to work/take calls in the bar areas (or one of the main other lounge areas/reception rooms). We did not feel very relaxed or welcomed at this point.
Sadly, I would not recommend this spa, primarily due to the poor customer service. Considering we spent c.£200, we were not treated like customers.
