No SPA reception at the hotel just a sign which left us wandering awkwardly to find our way to the treatment rooms. The 2 women who did our treatment were very friendly and proffessional but the “high tea” afterwards was a let down. Paid for prosecco and was not given it. The hotel did not seat us in the restaurant but awkwardly on our own at a side function suite. We sat around for 10 minutes and still no staff appeared to say goodbye/ clear plates etc. We felt very out of place not a welcoming hotel at all.

Lovely hotel in lovely surroundings. Approachable and friendly staff. Enjoyed a 3 course dinner and breakfast. Very relaxing spa facilities and thoroughly enjoyed a back, neck and shoulder massage.

Didn't received everything that was described on the Internet. Tried to charge us for stuff we didn't not order. The hotel was dated and had unpleasant smell. Would not recommended it. Although, food was good and leasure facilities were fine.

Visited the hotel for a weekend break with my partner. Both are in our twenties. This venue is perhaps aimed at the older patron(Rod Stewart tribute act cabaret as an example). On arrival we were greeted by a friendly and pilote receptionist and we're taken to our room outside of the main hotel, over the road. This was a little strange but the room looked ok to start. We were placed in a building/ cottage with a fiftieth birthday group of 10 women beneath us which were especially noisy, drunken and boisterous. The room: toilet did not flush; decor rundown and in disrepair; cleanliness was so so and view was off an unkempt back garden. We had an extra bed/ lounge area which was enrequired but no issue and tea and coffee making facilities that was a nice touch. Room was spacious and light, though rather dated. This was indicated by a member of staff as the updated area of the hotel which is slightly alarming. The staff were generally polite and pleasant, though several spoke very poor English and one server at breakfast and dinner spoke no English at all! The trip was affordable, and chosen due to some positive reviews which were frankly miss leading in this case. The pool facilities were all broken and aged and the men's showers had screws were taps should've been! It was by no means a dreadful trip (the location and surrounding areas are lovely, with stunning scenery), just not worth the money I would say for a dated and rundown hotel in great need of repair. So would say try it if you get a good deal and are not too fussy about a fixer up er.
