I have over 35 years experience as a massage therapist and specialise in Deep tissue, sports, remedial massage and Lymphatic Drainage. I am also a trained counsellor and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. I created the Somatic Therapies Centre as a place of calm and peace to support your wellness journey with comprehensive care for body, mind, and spirit. I am passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care, helping individuals reconnect with their bodies, alleviate discomfort, and return to the activities they cherish. I believe that every client deserves a treatment uniquely tailored to their needs, whether they are seeking recovery from physical strain, stress relief, or simply a peaceful space to unwind. By blending technical proficiency with an intuitive approach, I cultivate a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where individuals feel listened to, appreciated, and cared for.
Martina Macauley is a dedicated holistic health practitioner with over 20 years of experience helping clients restore balance, boost energy, and improve overall wellbeing through natural therapies. Her own healing journey began after being diagnosed with IBS and an ovarian cyst, which she successfully managed through natural methods—an experience that inspired her to dedicate her career to helping others achieve lasting health naturally. Martina qualified as a Reflexologist in 2002 at the British School of Complementary Therapy in London and later trained in Indian Head Massage and Naturopathy, gaining expertise in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and holistic health. She is also a trained humanistic counsellor, allowing her to support both the physical and emotional aspects of wellbeing.
I am a holistic, body-mind-spirit focused sound and energy healing practitioner. I combine sound, vibration and energy therapy that are intuitively guided and tailored to your needs. In addition to my training, drawing upon my own deep personal experiences enables me to work with empathy, compassion and attentiveness. Sound has been used for healing and religious ceremonies across the globe for centuries. Whether it is language, music, busy street traffic or nature, we are surrounded by sound, vibrations and frequencies at all times. Hearing is one of the first senses developed in womb and our bodies are built to respond to sound and vibrations, often altering our mood and state of being. Some benefits of sound healing with Tibetan bowls as the brain is stimulated to make subtle or profound changes may include the following (but not limited to) areas: deep relaxation, endorphin release, stress reduction promotes deeper sleep stimulating immune system synchronising of the left and right hemisphere of brain chakra balancing, auric alignment deeper meditative states, processing experiences on subconscious levels relief from pains, fatigue emotional healing We are all unique and respond differently so there is no right or wrong way of experiencing sound therapy. Whilst some may feel immediate relief, others will find the benefits more subtle and gradual.
