Booked a course in july 2015 and paid via paypal for £750. Then found out at the end of march that they had done a runner without me having any treatments. I have contacted paypal who said they cant help as its gone past the 180 days to make a claim. so i've gone through the small claims court:

I ordered a package with soho laser clinic for £1500. I have lost all that money now they have closed down. With no warning. I paid by Debit card and my bank say that after 120 days they cannot give me my money back. I never even got a patch test from Soho Laser for 4-6 months as they either didn't have any appointments available or their machines were broken.

I paid over £900 for a course of 8 treatments 6 weeks ago, I had 1 but now they have shut down! I didn't hear anything from them until I turned up to my appointment today and found them closed down. They are not answering their phone. I am now filled with stress and worry about trying to get my money back! :( :( :(

This has just happened to me. I turned up today after making countless phonecalls, emails and letters. I was told that they packed up everything and left. They are still sending out appointment reminders to other clients. I have paid £1,900 and am absolutely shocked. I am in the middle of making an indemnity claim with my bank but am trying to also make a formal complaint.

Please help! I paid through my paypal balance and they have said they won't refund the money because "the transaction was more than 180 days old". I didn't use ANY of my treatments. I'm heartbroken to have lost £500. I explained that I haven't used any of the services. Do you have any idea what I should do?

Its small claims court for taking the director to court personally, this would probably just leave a mark on his records saying he has been taken to court in relation to Soho Laser Ltd.
The company is indeed Limited Liability, so the director is not personally liable to pay you anything that the Company owes. For your money back, try your bank or credit card provider, or Financial Ombudsman. Also Citezens Advice Bureau website has helpful info.

THIS COMPANY IS NO LONGER TRADING. OWNERS ARE LIARS AND TO BE AVOIDED!!

PAID FOR 8 COURSE TREATMENT AND I HAVE HAD ONLY ONE. HAVE BEEN CALLING DAILY FOR A FORTNIGHT AND NO REPLY,NO NOTICE, ONLY FOUND OUT AS I WAS BOOKED IN FOR TODAY.

I WAS ADVISED TO DO THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE IN THE SAME BOAT AND THEY HAVE TAKEN YOUR MONEY AND RUN:

- Contact your bank and ask for a CHARGE BACK. They will fill out a form with you on the phone and file under goods not received.

- Write a letter to the address on the website above, send recorded deliv and ask for the following: a refund within 14 days, proof they have provided adequate pre-contract information (lack of this invalidates the contract and makes them taking payment in the first place illegal) and tell them they are in breach of contract by not providing the services I have paid for, therefore upholding my side.

GOOD LUCK - I certainly need it to try and claw back these funds! Legit soprano laser clinic recommendations VERY welcome!

Have been going here for several years but I went for an appointment today and the company has done a runner. The landlady was there re-decorating - they went in and took all their machines away overnight and she is owed a lot of money. Time to get on to your bank if like me you have lost the best part of a very expensive package. Warning to others DO NOT buy online or you will lose your money.

I have been going to Laser Soho Clinic for close to 8 months and if not great, the service and treatment were decent enough for the price. A couple of weeks when I was meant to have my last treatment of a course of 6, I recieved a text message from them saying that they had a bad watter leak and would be shut for a week due to power issues. They were supposed to get in touch to reschedule after they re-opened. It's been 2 weeks now and all phone calls go straight to voicemail. Given what other people are reporting on here, it does sound like they might be shut down permanently? A bit wrong of them not to post anything on their site regarding their closure, even if temporary. I would at least expect a text update.

Stole my money!
I had a message on Monday confirming my appointment on Thursday 3.3.16 booked six weeks ago at the clinic; by the time I arrived at the clinic, it was closed. No one answered the bell or on the phone. Called several times but message were forwarded straight to voice mail, emails were not responded either. Thieves!! And the worst part is that you can still buy treatments on their website, Cheaters!!!
Very disappointed, I want my money back...I paid for the treatment of 8 courses and I just had 2.

Hi Floreo,

I had a similar experience today. I turned up and the lady who answered the door said that they haven't been there for a couple of days and the number keeps going to voicemail. I am wondering if they have gone bust? Or is this just very bad customer service? Either way I think I should get onto the credit card company and get my money back. Have you had an appointment since?

I am very concerned about this company which is a real shame as I was very happy with the patch test.

Hi i wondered if you managed to get a response from them?

I bought a package online and haven't been able to get through to them, i went there on Monday to find the place closed. I have emailed them also and had no response.

I have called everyday for the last 12 days and had no joy.

Its so very annoying i can't believe they are still taking payments if they are not still treating people.

This place should be shut down. Awful experience, a total rid off your money and appalling customer service , staff unqualified and rude. They vandalised my face and left me bruised, they don't know how to operate the machinery. They keep on cancelling your appointments at last minute and they reduce the time of the treatment by starting late. They give you reduced prices but they reduced your treatments and the staff are not qualified so you pay for nothing but headaches. There is no receptionist and you are made to wait outside the building standing at the door until someone shows up. When you complain they make it worse for you, the boss is nowhere to be found and he moan at you for bruising his ego, they would make it much worse for you for complaining.

However, I went last week and found myself (and another customer) waiting over an hour and still no show! I even called the week before to double check that about my appointment time, and the lady reassured me everything was good. I've been calling for at least a week now and it's just been going to the answering machine. One day it even said the number is temporarily unavailable. I still have 6 sessions left and they haven't replied to my complaint email I sent a week ago. I haven't found any other complaints online apart from this one, and it's extremely suspicious. I'm willing to help if I can with evidence etc. Let me know

I have had the same awful experience. I have not been able to book an appointment for weeks and have had no response on the emails. I am of the impression that they have gone bust yet they are still happy to take payment for new packages on their website even though they clearly have no intention of providing the service! Liblet- myself and a friend who have both bought packages and are either owed treatments or a refund would be happy to come aboard your claim with our evidence and experiences. PLEASE BEWARE anyone looking to purchase any services from them as you will NOT get your service or your money back!

Hi Floreo, I will be getting in touch as I too have become a victim of this awful Andy and his theft of my hard earned money has made me SO angry, I have posted some advice from the citizens advice bureau above and from my bank so I hope this helps others in the same position - I turned up today and found them "no longer trading" and Andy lied to my face two weeks ago when I turned up for my appointment and found them packing up - sorry i mean "tending to a water leak" and he rescheduled my appointment and therefore lied to my face...

ive had 2 treatments here and I cannot rate them enough, andy does my hydrafacials and jo does my laser bikini, I cannot speak highly enough of them both and their caring attitude. really put you at ease and im happy with my skin. I bought a course of 3 peels but I didn't like the redness after the peel, so andy gave me a hydrafacial instead of the peel, which was more money, but didn't charge me anymore money - which I I though t was amazing! its incredibly hard to get an appointment with him, you need to be organised, but, oce there he makes you feel amazing and you come out looking great. my bikini hair which is done by jo, is coming along, ive had 3 treatments and shes swapped me from painless to painful laser, but id say nearly 80% gone, it so so fine now, I don't really think about it. id recommend this place any day to all my mates!

I totally rate this place, I couldn't have a better place to go when I need a pick me up. really make you feel special, after every treatment I receive a survey to rate my treatment and a voucher to use, its really good service and value and everyone is friendly. I even ended up on a date with another customer! the date wasn't good so I don't recommend them for dating services but the service is great and I love my monthly facial! Kalie

If you want to be treated as a money making machine and short changed for treatment you should use this salon!!! I would recommend staying away from the salon.

Customer service at the salon and value for money has gone downhill since I started treatments at the salon. While the therapists are friendly enough the service has gone downhill. I have been kept waiting at the door on several occasions for at least 10 minutes or more in the pouring rain before a therapist has appeared to answer the door. This has meant my treatment has started late and when I complained about this I was told that there was nothing that they could be done about this as they don't have reception staff. This has also happened when the salon has called me up to ask if I can be flexible and come in earlier for treatment which I have always tried to accommodate. However on the one occasion I called to say I would be a little late (15minutes) due to train problems, the response I got was my treatment time would be reduced as they had a follow on appointment and could not be late for that. This is both surprising and hypocritical given on a number of occasions I have been kept waiting because of other appointments over running yet when it came to my treatment they were quick to use this as an excuse.

I did complain and the therapist said she would check with Andy (the manager) to find out if I could come back in to make up the missed time. I made clear that I had paid a significant amount of money for the laser course of treatments and have never messed the salon around and am always on time for my treatments previously as well as having been kept waiting for my own appointments. I also pointed out that on a number of occasions they have finished my treatments well ahead of my allocated time and I was only asking for a 15 minutes to finish off the untreated part. I got a call a week later saying that the manager was unwilling to offer an alternative slot and as I had been late it was my own fault for losing the full treatment. I can appreciate this attitude if I was a serial offender or had been inflexible with the salon and they had taken this approach but as this definitely wasn’t the case. It feels the attitude is just about making money and taking what they can from customer rather than building up customer loyalty through flexibility and good customer service.

To make matters worse having paid for my 'full body' treatment I was told I had to choose/prioritise which area I wants done as full body means whatever can be done in the 2 hours treatment. I have been having the same treatment for all my sessions yet depending on the therapist they would start complaining about what I wanted to get done, although I know the areas I have asked for can be done well within the time having had the treatment with other therapists at the salon!

It never used to be like this at the salon and things definitely gone downhill last few months. Therefore I would recommend avoiding the salon for treatment because good customer service makes all the difference!

I agree! Great beauty salon for so little money! Very pleased with the staff, personal very sensitive to the problems, and with a very good-looking :) I went there without reservation and they all the same served at the highest level. The treatment took about 2 hours but after them I have not felt wearily as it was in other places! For information about the salon I found on the site http://www.byebyeunwantedhair.com, but decided to comment here let people choose a quality service! ))

Andy promised me a full refund, but didn't fulfill his promise. So I tried to book again as I felt my only choice was to try & get the treatments again. Surprise surprise, they cancelled again. I am taking Andy to the small claims court, as his rudeness and arrogance at not even replying to my emails or calls has tipped me over the edge. He is a weak, petty criminal, and I intend to do everything I can to get my money back. If anyone wants to jump on board so I have more evidence to throw at him, then that would be fantastic. He shouldn't be in business.

Lets say i will never go here again as i was actually seen by the 'manager' of the salon a guy whom was VERY quick to keep calling me to say the offer i was interested was going to be discontinued. yet when i went to get my treatments done the i was kept wait at the door for 10 minutes before someone came to actually answer which no doubt cut into my laser time which surprisingly once i called to say i would be late and the response i got again from the manager was..' we are not a crehe so its not a drop in centre' which i thought was quite rude considering i had been kept waiting when i had arrived for the appointment. to make matters worse having paid over £2500 for my 'full body' treatment when i went i was told i had to chose/prioritise which area i wants done and when i when to say full body would be 'everything right?' he said 'well no because it cant be done in the 2 hours we have' ..basically not worth the time money and attitude. Since i have got quote from elsewhere that offer Saprano that it takes at least 1.5 hours just for the leg so they couldn't understand how a full body session was advertised for 2 hours. Having been there previously for microdermabrasion it was okay but only once out of 6 would i say did i ever get my value for money on the treatment as kate the therapist actually asked me what i wanted rather then do whatever. Regardless i wouldn't use this place again and considering the owners work ethic is so poor and unprofessional.

I thought this place was a bit of a joke. The guy who did my peel did not come across as experienced, he didn't make me feel comfortable whatsoever (and I am very rarely not relaxed!) and the place did not have great facilities. I don't know how they get away with charging what they do.
My peel was over pretty quickly and I was in and out of the room in 20 minutes. It felt ok whilst the therapist worked on my face but it was definitely down there with the worse facials I have had. There was absolutely no effects afterwards - my face didn't even looking slightly glowing or feel any softer like he promised!
There are far better places than this with much better deals!

I had an amzing skin peel here, i had really bad acne, i saw andy the owner for my treatment, he was good, told me lots about whty they use priori and lactic, really nice people, a lovely experiance, i bought a course of 6 treatments and he recommended i mix and match treatments, so a micro, skin peel and hydrafacial.great find.

ive been attending this clinic for almost a year, lvoely place, and the staff all know me and make me feel welcome, a personal service not like larger clinics, its a small clinic, which is what i like, rather than just being a number, andy and kate do my treatments, i have skin peels and laser hair removal, the Soprano is just the best, i cannot even feel it now the hairs so fine. i really like this place.

I was completely any utterly disappointed with the level of service at this clinic. They chose to cancel appointments as and when they please and if once you cancel they cannot accommodate until the next few months. I have had interaction which most of the staff members there and to say the least are always in a rush so do not complete the treatment as you would expect and leave you in the shabby looking rooms whilst they go to arrive someone else for their appointment. once i was left waiting 10 minutes before someone came to answer the door which no doubt cut into my treatment time. since i have got advice from other salons and even though they may not offer as cheap prices as this clinic their service is way more superior in comparison and you do actually get what you pay for..cheap shoddy service. i will never use this clinic again nor reccommend them to friends EVER.

Have only been to one session. So far so good. Advice from the therapist consult had been helpful and informative. The clinic is centrally located and easy distance from work. Service provided has been good, although maybe a bit understaffed (but it may have been just bad timing for me).
