Hotel Staff very very good. Hotel itself was dated. No water in the rooms - was told you have to have a VIP package for this. Food was very good - but not presented well. We had to eat in the bar as the conservatroy which has nice white table clothes is only open on a friday and saturday. The deal was for Sunday night. I think this should be made clear to the clients booking this. We took very nice clothes with us to wear for the evening meal - and felt jeans would have been better to wear in this place.
Overall I really enjoyed the day and I would visit again - I could unwind in peace and have a much needed lazy day. One thing that I was the most impressed with was the food - I had a cray fish salad and it was very nice indeed. The treatment that I recieve wasn't great the second coat didn't go to the edges so it looked messy. The gym was well equiped and spacious. The switch on the outdoor hot tub was split so we had a keep getting out the tub to stand on it to get it to start up again, but apart from that for the money we paid we was happy. I was suprised to see that the spa allowed children in the pool area and hot tub but that didn't bother us.
I went with my husband to Cumber Park Hotel and Spa. We had a lovely relaxing experience with full use of facilities. I enjoyed my prdicure thoroughly, its the first time I have had this done. The therapist was very good.
Good value for what we paid for the day, was initially surprised that it didn't include lunch but we ordered and paid for lunch when we arrived and it was brought to the spa from the restaurant. Small pool, sauna and steam room and a hot tub outside. No aerobic classes and a small gym but this actually made it more relaxing for us as we sat on the loungers reading and chatting for most of the day.
I had a really enjoyable relaxing day. The facilities were very clean and I enjoyed using the gym. I liked the fact that I could step outside in a robe for some fresh air and that I could order a coffee to drink at the side of the pool. My lunch was very well presented and very tasty and my pedicure was done really well by a young girl who was very nice and very friendly. It was just a shame that the reception staff were not the same. I dont know if one was the manager but she had no qalms about moving guests property of seats to make room for other guests if they were not sitting on the poolside chairs even if they had only gone to the loo, which I found rather rude.
