I spent the last 10 years learning and combining all my knowledge and skills into blending various techniques from physiotherapy, YUMEIHO therapy, soft tissue therapy and remedial massage in order to reduce pain, relieve stress, increase flexibility in order to restore the balance of the body and give a total rehabilitation to any individual. My massage is performed without oil, or even the need for removal of clothes, a dry massage incorporates stretches, myofascial release, manipulation and mobilization of muscles, trigger point therapy to relieve pain, alleviate stress and restore balance. It is important to clarify, that my massage is accessible to everyone. You do not have to be an athlete or anyone involved in sports to benefit from this type of therapy. Today, our work and overall lifestyle increase the demands on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This in its simplest form is putting a load of stress on the body which we either have the capacity to manage or we don’t. Each session involves an in depth discussion and movement assessment, a subjective and objective assessment if you will. This will guide the most appropriate approach and treatment plan to address any pain or movement dysfunction. I'm a qualified Physiotherapist BSc 2009 and MSc 2013 .
I have trained at both the famous City Lit, overseen by the stringent City & Guilds educational body, and at the London School of Massage. I'm lucky to have found an occupation I love and proud that this shows in my ability to give each and every client a massage which addresses the reasons they booked but always tries to go one step further. I'm a member of the CThA (Complementary Therapists Association), CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and am fully insured. My training included many aspects of health and safety, including hygiene and cleanliness. It also dealt with privacy, comfort and care - as everyone's situations and cultures differ. Not everyone that visits me comes with aching muscles or knots... some have stressful lives and need a relaxing moment in their otherwise hectic day... others book for a well earned treat that's just for them, good for the soul.
I trained in Sports Massage at St. Mary’s University Twickenham and I’m so grateful to have developed these skills, which allows me to pursue my passion for helping people by healing and fixing their sore bodies. I am a lover of sports/fitness and as a trained martial artist I know how vital it is to be back on track in the best physical shape for training or even for the simple day-to-day activities. My massages are soothing and relaxing which can help relieve any built up muscle tension and pain that we all develop in our busy lives. With deep tissue massaging I will pin-point areas that need special attention and mend those broken backs. Using sports massage techniques I can apply a range of pressure and go as hard or soft as you need. Whether you need to distress, mend or relieve any tight areas, I can help put you at ease and unclutter any unwanted issues.
My journey started with exploring various massage styles which led me to my current disciplines: Namikoshi Shiatsu, Thai Massage and Deep Tissue. I am a member of the FHT and have been a massage therapist since 2005. Massage is a great tool to help creating a greater awareness and understanding of the body and mind. I focus on listening to the wishes of my clients and what they want to achieve through a massage!
