About
Jaki has over 30 years experience in the beauty industry. She first opened a nail studio and after much encouragement from her clients, she returned to college and completed her NVQ Beauty Level 3. From there she went on to becoming a part-time beauty tutor herself, sharing her skills and knowledge and attaining a Level 1 (top mark) for her teaching techniques. Despite her vast experience, she believes in attending regular training courses, updating her skills and knowledge with the latest techniques and treatments available. Back in 1999, Jaki was the first to bring semi-permanent makeup treatments to Kendal. She wisely invested in the most sophisticated equipment and training, enabling her to perform the safest and gentlest treatments for her clients.

After working in the hair industry for the past 16 years, she decided to become a self employed hair stylist, setting up Hair By Jaime. From being a very little girl she has always enjoyed playing with hair, and her love for what she does truly shows in the quality of her creations. It didn't take Jaime long settling into our lovely team of girls, her great sense of humour and light heartedness makes her a joy to work with. From the start Jaime has shown a great interest in advancing and learning new skills, she has perfected gel nail treatments and has added hair extensions to her portfolio of treatments. Her enthusiasm for what she does is infectious, her clients always leave with the biggest smile on their faces, thrilled with the results of their treatments.

Julie has been a member of the team almost from the very beginning, starting back in 1993 when we just had a double nail table in the back of a hair salon. Julie is all about glamour, if you have a special occasion or holiday and are wanting the 'Wow Factor' then she is the therapist to ask for. She excels in creating out of this world nail art designs, applying lushious lash extensions and beautifying your natural brows.

I qualified as a Beauty Therapist at Kendal College, this led me to working as a makeup artist for a local photographer for 2 yrs. Followed on from there as a Nail artist. The opportunity came about with The Studio for me to use my beauty Therapy skills where I had 9 wonderful years. I met my husband and when we started our family I took a break to bring up our 3 lovely children. I was incredibly lucky to be able to return to my true passion at The Hair & Beauty Studio (formerly The Studio) for almost 3 years now, recently completing a pregnancy massage course.
