I was able to book easily and luckily didn't have to wait a long time for an available appointment, infact it was the very next week. The room where you have to go to isn't the easiest to find, so probably easier to ask someone to show you when you get there. I was weighed beforehand and it gives you a read out of your body mass index (BMI) etc. Then your told the process. Therapist was attentive, she put you at ease. Then your BMI is taken again at the end, showed no change for me. You do sweat quiet a lot, but to have any real effects i think you would have to go atleast 3-5 times within a short period. Only down side was, the changing facilities are a walk away, so you have to dress fully to get to their, then undress, use the showers and then dress again.
I arrived on 5 minutes early and was shown into a poky room with the dome taking up half the space. The therapist was very cool with me and sped hrough the procedure very quickly. I could not recommend this "treatment" in good faith to anyone. Particulars: I was given a cup of warm water to drink told to disrobe and then weighed. I was told to lie on the face down in the dome and call when ready. The therapist retreated to a curtained area to give me privacy but really there was none. I could see her clearly tapping on a computer keyboard and glimpsing through the crack in the curtain periodically while I removed my clothes. When I called for her attention she started the machine. It was just like being in a steam cabinet but cooler. I did not break a sweat. After a while I was asked to turnover and the temperature was increased because I then started to sweat. It was not uncomfortable. However, there was no fan to keep my face cool. The tapping form the computer was annoying. A short while later I was told the treatment was finished. There was no timer to indicate that the treatment had run its course. I was asked to drink another cup of warm water and was weighed again. I was in and out of the building within 45 minutes. If you want to waste your money this is one way of doing it I suppose.
After my Christmas excesses I was intrigued by Iyashi dome's claims of weight loss by just lying down! I thought the dome might feel a bit claustrophobic but there was plenty of room to move around & I felt comfortable. The first 10-15 minutes not a lot happened but I sweated buckets the last 10 minutes. My skin felt amazingly soft after the session & I lost a pound so would highly recommend it!
It was difficult to contact My Beauty Break by phone in order to arrange delivery of the detox diet, as they rarely answer calls, however, when I did speak to someone it was a straightforward process to arrange the delivery and I received 4 days worth of food delivered to my door on the date and within the time slot arranged. Food comes packaged into meals and snacks and a 4 day meal plan is provided, which is very easy to follow. The ease and convenience of this diet is excellent and the variety of food provided is impressive, although some meals are a little bland and I also felt quite hungry by the late evening, although you can ask for your calorie intake and portions to be changed to suit you. I haven't noticed any big improvement in digestion or well being but it has been an easy way to kick start a healthier eating regime and break the cycle of over-indulgence.
This was a very enjoyable experiance. Therapist very informative and put you at ease with treatment. Would definately recommend trying. The changing room facilities including showers are a short walk from treatment room - would have been nice to put on dressing gown to enter shower facilities instead of getting dressed and then undressed again.
