Would have rated higher had I not been moved halfway through my treatment to make place for a different customer overrunning as she had a baby who needed to be changed.
As a result of the lady with a baby running late, I was asked to leave my chair, mid nail drying, picking up dust and floor dirt along the way (no flipflops were loaned to me and I didn't expect this to happen so hadn't bought my own!) just so the lady booked after the lady with her baby could begin her treatment.
I was given a seat right next to the salon door, being stared at by a busy street of passing commuters on their way home from work and told to "wait 15 mins" by the salon staff. No one bothered to tell me 15 mins was up. I actually didn't expect to be moved- even as they were moving me no one was explaining what or why they were doing what they were doing, even leaving my coat and bag where my treatment chair had been. No one checked my nails at the end of the treatment, I simply nodded to the lady on the front desk, took my coat and bag and left. No tip given for that reason.
As to the pedicure, I can forgive the boiling hot water (seriously, stick a thermometer in the water to check before asking customers to plunge their feet in first!) and the almost painful pumice, because the friendliness and attention given by the assistant. But it really was ruined for me when what should have been a treat left me feeling like I'd been shoved to the side and disregarded for another customer. I had booked the most expensive treatment and would have even considered returning, but not after that experience. Poor customer care there, and really unforgivable to treat any customer like that. If someone is running late, it shouldn't affect people like myself who had arrived and been seen on time.
I'd chosen the deluxe pedi and with a polish apparently designed to stay on longer, but it chipped within a week. I don't want to wholly place blame on chipped polish here because there could have been many reasons for it- none I can think of admittedly, but I can't assume it was the fault of the polish. It didn't all chip- maybe 2-3 nails? A week later I'd painted over in a Boots bought Essie paint and it's stayed on longer.
