I have given 5 stars except for the manicure (which did not happen at all) as I always get good treatments here. But this time was very strange. The salon rang to take a deposit. Then they rang to cancel, on the morning I was supposed to have my manicure, 2 hours before. Then they said they could not refund my deposit. They said it would be applied as credit but I’m not sure I want to book here again now. I understand staff sickness, but return deposits if you cancel on customers.
I did not have Chloe? Unsure why that name is attributed. The treatment was poor, ill prepared, the therapist ignored me when I spoke and dropped wax on my face and said nothing no apology. She seemed to lack confidence and skill.
I really wanted to like this place. But the manicure was really bad. It’s patchy and the gel is so thick that it’s uncomfortable, I need to find somewhere to remove it asap. Shame as it’s quite expensive. I want a refund.
Overall the massage was fine and enjoyable enough but it wasnt tailored to pregnancy unfortunately, e.g. there were no supporting pillows, which was a shame and made a bit more uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing “luxury pedicure experience”, not worthy of £60+ per the price list. The facilities are poor (at-home, portable foot bath), the water was scolding hot and the treatment took place in a room that was not set up for the experience (you have to hold your legs up the whole time, which I found quite difficult for 1hr even when switching legs every 5 mins or so). Cuticle trim was aggressive and painful. I really like The Cove, Beaconsfield - try there instead!
