Lovely just a tiny bit over crowded due to lack of beds in afternoon. Otherwise cannot fault it. Relaxing and great experience
On arrival we were placed in the library and offered tea coffee and water whilst we completed a questionnaire and a menu request. There were 6 of us and we had booked the revival day which is a 25 minute treatment and 2 course lunch with champagne, tea or coffee on arrival and use of the facilities. We booked 3 massages at 11am and 3 at 11.30am. We arrived at 10.30am. The first 3 ladies were taken down to the spa for there 11am massage at 11am the remaining 3 were asked to wait upstairs. As we arrived at 10.30am I thought we would be able to use the facilities whilst waiting for our massage rather than sitting for an hours wait but this wasn't a huge problem as we just chatted. At approximately 11.30 we collected and asked to go downstairs to the spa where the lady on reception gave us our robes took the payments required then showed us where everything was before asking us to get changed and the masseuse would be with us. Very polite staff and helpful. The masseuse came and introduced their selves and took us to our therapy rooms which were very clean, nicely decorated and calming background music. Just before she started her massage I was told that they were running 10minutes behind so my massage would be cut short!!! I didn't argue with her but was very disappointed as we weren't late we had been sat upstairs waiting for an hour and had been collected late by our hostess and then detained at the reception desk to pay etc and then the young lady had shown us around before we had even got changed. I do feel that to then cut our 25 minute massage short because they were running 10 mins late was poor timing by the staff and not our faults we were as I said sat upstairs an hour before our massage was due and timing was dictated to us by the staff. We weren't refunded the difference either which was a little annoying. However what time was spent on our massages was absolutely lovely and I would recommend lindsey and Laura as they were very good indeed. I must point out that all of the staff were very professional and friendly and we couldn't fault them at all but time keeping really was down to the hostess that was looking after us and she took both parties down not allowing enough time for reception and getting changed. Our lunch was delicious we booked at 1.30pm and we were prompt and seated by 1.30pm (we made sure we were on time as we were not to be collected) I did have to ask the waitress at 2pm would it be possible to chase our food along as we had been waiting half an hour for starters for two persons and obviously mains for the 4 that were having a dessert instead of a starter would probably be another 20 to 30 minutes. She was very efficient and our starters literally followed her back from the kitchen. The food as I said earlier was delicious you had plenty of choice and a gluten free menu was also available. The remainder of the afternoon was spent relaxing in the pool, jacuzzi and steam and sauna rooms. The facilities were very modern and clean and staff lovely and friendly. My only minor complaint would be time keeping needs to be looked at especially making sure the clients are taken down to the facilities in good time as I do not think it is acceptable penalise the clients by cutting short their treatments when the lateness is not their fault but down to poor time management of staff. Having said this I would recommend the blue water spa experience to anyone and I will be using their facilities again but in future I will point out to staff that if they are running late I won't be expecting my time to be cut short therefor could they ensure I am taking to the spa in good time. I also think that being kept upstairs for an hour before our treatments started was unnecessary as we could have been getting ready and relaxing in the relaxation room all ready for the masseuse to collect us on time.
Very attentive staff. Lovely lunch with healthy options. Excellent massage. Good value for money
It was a lovely relaxing day. Only slight disappointed was the spa day purchased included champagne and we were given proseco. No one really understood he difference and e liked both but pushing the trade description !
