I highly recommend using the spa on a weekday if you are looking for a ‘relaxation day’ Unfortunately, I attended on a Saturday, the spa facilities were busy, the relaxation room was being used by groups of people wanting to have a laugh and chat instead of quiet time and their was not enough seating to host the mount of guests on a spa experience.
The food however was of a very high standard (albeit we had to wait 45 mins for our food to arrive) Would only ever book under an offer.
Had the drift away full body massage. Felt very roughly handled from the start. I had expected a soothing but firm massage. The strokes were delivered very quickly. This felt like I was a piece of meat being tenderised for the oven. Spent too long on massaging my back, compared to the rest of my body. I asked for more work on the legs than back. Not sure the therapist understood that, even though I said it at the beginning. Sorry to say, the massage was painful and I felt myself flinching
