A Sauna in my opinion should be hot with water added to the coals to create steam. The Wild moor sauna is consistently so cold that its hard to even get a sweat on !!! coupled with a glass door that will not close unless slammed. To add to these woes when given one towel to take into the sauna when swimming you have the same sweaty towel to try and dry off with before putting your clean clothes back on. Come on switch the heat up, repair the sauna door and give us two towels as members we pay enough for these small luxuries. Please stop blaming the fire for the one towel policy and outsource your laundry like most other well run establishments.
I have been a member for nearly 2 years. The facilities and equipment when I first joined seemed to be fantastic together with the atmosphere. It all started to changed during the time in there. There is no customer service where you could raise your concerns and be reassured it will change. During this time nothing has changed , cleanliness got worse, the rudeness of the staff doubled. Instead of upgrading facilities outside for cyclists and putting a sheltered roof above the bike racks , they demolish half of them , and build the wooden gardening shed for foreign nationals to wash the cars for members while exercising. I have been told several times that any events happening I will be informed like coffee mornings etc. Spa treatments offers...nobody emailed me during these 2 years as a member. The moment you sign the membership nobody wants to know you and try not follow the rules from (OFT ) the office of fair trading, so you do not have your consumer rights, but follow only their rules and have no leg to stand on. I Would advise anybody who wants to join this establishment to think about it very hard. It is different to visit this place for one day, then commit yourself and be a member for 2 years in the establishment were customer care is nonexistent.
It was more of a gym / fitness centre (a very nice one) than what I would call a spa
This was a fantastic relaxing spa day and the facilities are brilliant. The spa was lovely and clean and we were shown around the facilities first thing then taken to get our complimentary robe and slippers. The pool area was wonderful and relaxing with a very big jacuzzi area. There was a range of different types of beds to relax on. The steam room was the biggest I've ever been in, it was lovely. The full range of facilities were available in the spa. The treatment area was calm and relaxing and the facial I had as a top up treatment really was the best I've ever had, and I have had facials at a top leading name in spa treatments. She explained the products gave great advice and made it incredibly relaxing. The treatment that was included was also extremely relaxing. The gym facilities are brilliant in a well set out large area with enough machines to avoid queuing. The gym trainer was also very helpful in explaining a machine to us we had not used before. The meal was delicious at lunchtime too. We had a thoroughly relaxing enjoyable day and I would definitely recommend this spa. I will definitely be going back again! Thanks
Booked for my mums 60th birthday, she loved it! Great service and raving about the lunch and champagne. Additional back massage booked, they had a great time, thanks Wildmoor.
