If you are looking for a relaxing spa day break then I would definitely NOT recommend this place.
I booked the spa day for 3 people (Triple treats for 3 - site says total 40min treatments each plus use of spa facilities. Treatments should have been Elimis welcome touch facial 15 mins pp, Mini Swedish BNS 15 mins pp and scalp massage 10 min pp).
As I reached the spa I was told to wait in the relaxation room, 5 mins later a lady called Ewelina came in and in a very rude manner asked if we were here for our treatments and also asked me if my treatments were 15 mins long!
Firstly you should know the time length of the treatments you provide and rather than ask the customer you should be the one to explain to them the treatment times. Our treatment was obviously not 15 mins each, as no one in their right mind would pay £50 each for 15 mins.
Whilst I was double checking what I had booked Ewelina had taken one of us in and basically told her to pick 1 out of the 3 treatments (even though the site showed that EACH one of us would get 3 treatments).
By that time I had double checked my booking I spoke to another lady who was a lot more apologetic and explained that the booking which was made via the Bannatyne website was an error by their head office – the time slot they booked us in for was a total of 45mins for ALL 3 of us rather than 45 mins each. She agreed that the mistake was Bannatyne’s and not ours.
We were asked if we would like to go ahead with 15 mins each but I was not willing to pay the same (£50) for 1 15 min treatment.
Overall this totally messed up my weekend as I travelled from London with my 2 maid of honours to thank them for their help so far. I had booked a hotel for the night’s stay and planned the spa day according to the booking.
I lost out on not just the treatments but also the money I spent on booking hotel rooms and travelling up. If I knew they could not book properly I would have just booked else ware but this totally wasted my time and money and definitely a wasted trip to Leicester!
I would never go back to this place and would not recommend anyone to go there after such a bad experience.
Staff were disorganized. Paperwork was not dealt with promptly when we arrived and we were bothered about it after it was locked away in our lockers and dressed ready to treatments. One jacuzzi was quite dirty
Changing areas not particularly clean or modern.
Therapist gave a good massage but talked throughout the treatment so it wasn't relaxing.
Booked as a 2 for 1 deal - even then it was not worth the money so wouldn't recommend.

We chose this spa because the location was equal distance for each of us to travel.
All my dealings with Bannatynes by phone and email were helpful and friendly althoughI did receive three different lots of contradictory information about the times of the treatments booked and had to follow this up.
Although the club is situated under a rather ugly NCP car park, first impressions on entering were good with a clean, well-maintained reception area. We were made to feel welcome and given a tour of the spa facilities. The changing rooms/showers/toilets were spotless and the fact that a notice announced the pending replacement of the flooring suggests that maintenance is done before things are too worn. At the time of our visit - a Friday - the pool/jacuzzi/saunas/steam rooms were not busy and we felt able to use them as much as we wished. Busier times could see them all a little crowded. Our treatments, (see above) were in very pleasant rooms and the therapists were good.
The fitness room we used is a good size and the fitness suite large and well equipped.
My only niggles would be that visits to other spas charging the same have included the use of towels and robes, lunch and drinks and provided more spa rooms. Obviously the inner city location impacts on space and cost.
All in all pleasant experience. I would consider using the spa facilities of other Bannatyne centres for the right price!
