I arrived and the staff were still preparing the place - felt a bit like everyone was rushing in and out. Also, they had cancelled my other treatment last minute and was expecting an extra 15 minutes of massage to compensate or at least, a voucher towards my next treatment. they had cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment. having said that, the massage was pretty good!
The ambience was so good, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I thought I'm going to have the best ideal massage my 34 weeks pregnant aching body were hoping for from the pre and post natal massage. But I was left disappointed. To start with, the massage bed was a bit high for my height, and with the bump, it was slightly difficult to get in. the massage bed was OK, slightly warm, but not the most comfortable bed I've come across. Then there came my masseur. She was very nice and friendly, made me feel comfortable but I was shocked by their unprofessional-ism. Firstly, she started with a very soft hand, which was no good for my aching muscles. I asked her to increase the pressure, she momentarily did, but said she was being careful and dropped back to soft again after a while. So the massage itself didn't give me what I was looking for. Then there were other elements. Suddenly another lady stormed into the room with doors banging, said 'don't worry it's just me' and started looking for something under the bed. lots of loud scratching noises before she left. At least twice during my massage, my masseur left the room without telling me anything, leaving the door slightly open. My bed was right opposite the reception, I was lucky there was no other client at the reception, only the staff, as I could see them, so if they wanted to peep, they could see me as well. And then when she asked me to change side, instead of creating a cover with the towel, as they normally do, she snatched away the towel from my naked body, I was so shocked and embarrassed, didn't know how should I cover my boobs or my pregnant belly. I looked at her as she was smiling nicely down at me. I've done so many massages before, but this one felt completely unprofessional. Then there was the head massage, which was a joke. She didn't even untie my hair. All that came out of the head massage was my tousled hair, but I don't blame her for that. very few people in London probably knows how to give a proper head massage. they just mess with hair, doesn't actually work on the scalp. So overall, though ambience was good and staff was friendly, I wasn't satisfied with the service. May be they are not trained for pregnancy massage and should surely learn some professionalism.
One of the best places. I need a lot of work done on my shoulders and I felt so much better afterwards. Also I didn't feel sore or stiff the next day, which is an extra bonus.
I was treated by a true Thai Massagists. True Thai Massage (knees, feet and elbows used... painfull but nice). Nice team.
The end result was good apart from the Brazilian being slightly off centre! I had the wax in a store room as the therapy rooms were busy with massages but it was clean and tidy so no big deal. The therapist swapped halfway through which was a bit odd but I was glad they did - the second therapist was much better and that part of the wax wasn't too painful but the first half was the most painful wax I've ever had. As the two therapists changed over, the wax was left to completely solidify so there was a lot of painful yanking to get it off! If I could choose the second therapist again I might go back but overall it wasn't the most professional.
