Extremely disappointed in this place. I've booked several massages through Treatwell and had booked with Thai London Therapy in the past by booking straight through the salon itself. I needed a receipt for my last two appointments for insurance purposes, and had forgotten to get an actual receipt from the salon when I went for the appointments. I received two massages - one for 49 GBP and the other for 35 GBP. After stopping by the location and talking to someone who I believe was the assistant manager, I was told that I would be contacted by the owner. He was very helpful, but explained that he couldn't do the receipts himself. About a week passed and the owner did not reach out. I contacted them again, and they responded that I could only get a receipts for 39 GBP and for 25 GBP, because that is what they report in taxes, and Treatwell takes the rest in commission. This is not mentioned anywhere on the site, and as far as I am concerned, I paid 49GBP for a massage, not 39 and then 10 to Treatwell. I called them after the owner again responded by email saying they could do nothing more and spoke with her. She proceeded to repeat the same message, and that I needed to talk to Treatwell to get a receipt. I explained to her that Treatwell did not provide the service, Thai London Therapy did, but that did not matter and she continued to speak over me. I stated that I would be sure to leave a review so that others are aware of this. She then said I was blackmailing her and threatened to call the police. I've never experienced such a lack of service or threats of this nature for wanting to leave a review online. The massages were ok - not wonderful, not awful - however, the owner is clearly extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. Unsurprisingly, I will not be returning here.
This was such a wonderful massage. It was my first thai massage and I was not disappointed. I had a lot of tension in my neck and upper back. The therapist got straight in there. It was quite deep work but it was what I needed. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend.
Booked a deep tissue massage and got exactly that! Only place I have visited in London where you leave feeling like there has been some benefit other than just relaxation! The therapist was very friendly and knew what she was doing - the pressure was intense as a deep tissue massage should be - at points uncomfortable, but only because she was working out some extreme tightness I had in my legs and shoulders. The combination of thai massage, oils and hot stones combined perfectly, and I left feeling invigorated, much looser and a bit sore- today I feel like I've had a good workout! I wouldn't recommend this massage if you just want to relax and be pampered, but if you are in pain or discomfort and want to feel better, this is the place to go. Will definitely be back!
The Thai Spa is a lovely venue. It is hidden away, as directed, but the reception was moved downstairs to the front of the building and was easy to spot. My treatment wasn't the best I've had. The beautician was very nice, but I don't think she was very experienced with Hot wax (which the deal explicitly said you would receive) or my type of skin/hair (I'm Afro Caribbean). All in all it was an ok wax, for a reasonable price in a lovely setting. I wouldn't go there for a wax again, but I would may try a massage depending on price.
