I have been looking a long time for a true deep tissue massage with reasonable price. It is hard to find the true experience without go crazy on the price. I already booked the next appointment. And I really really loved the fact that they don't bombard you with health questionnaires or try to sell anything. You just go, pay, have the massage and that's it. brilliant.
The deep tissue massage was a Thai style massage with a small amount of stretching and some hot stone massage thrown in. Oil was used. It was a massage by numbers/rote; as far as I could tell there was no real tailoring to my needs and the therapist was just going through the sequence she had been taught. The movements were done using elbows/ arms on the whole and very fast - because of that I don't see how she could have been taking note of any feedback from my body or muscles. My muscles in my back, neck and legs were really tight and when I told the therapist that she took it as meaning that she should go harder on those parts. Frankly, it was excrutiating in parts, and depsite me asking the therapist three time to go easy, she would default to the "agony" setting after a couple of minutes. This style of massage is not for me and despite the good price I will probably not go back. If you like really strong massage, and dont have any particular problems then this might work for you given the good price. The place was clean, smelled nice, and was nicely decorated. The staff were nice enough, just a shame this type of massage is not for my tight muscles that need intuition, special care and attention.
