I wouldn’t return to this salon. Probably the worst treatment I’ve ever had anywhere. I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment but I was seen 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start. I was offered a cup of ginger tea but the receptionist didn’t apologise for the delay nor did the nail technician. Although the nail technician was pleasant and tried to make conversation at times he seemed inexperienced and was quite rough when adjusting the nail extensions. He cut my little fingernail with his overgrown thumbnail, he didn’t apologise and tried to wipe the blood away without me noticing. When I was asked what polish I wanted I told him that I wanted the French manicure pink and white look. He told me that I’d have to pay £5 extra. I asked why that’s still the case when I had been kept waiting for such a long time and he said it was because of how long it would take. Shortly after the nail technician said that he would apply gel extensions instead of acrylic without an extra charge because of how long I had been waiting. I don’t believe the nail technician knew how to do the French manicure. The technician told me that he did French manicure by just applying the white nail varnish to the top of the nail. Or that sometimes he’d paint the tip white then apply the pink afterwards on top of the nail including the white tip. I have had French manicure quite a few times so I told him that the other nail technicians I had been to would paint the nail pink first then paint the tip white afterwards. He applied the pink base but instead of waiting for it to dry he painted the tip of the nail white straight away. The white tip looked terrible and unprofessional. He used a standard sized nail brush so the finish was sloppy. In an attempt to make the white tip look neater he used nail varnish remover,, which ruined the base of the pink nail varnish. He asked me if I was okay with what he had done and I told him that I wasn’t. He then tried his other method of painting the tip white then painting over the entire nail with the pink nail varnish. It looked terrible. I explained to him that the other salons I had French manicure done would use a nail varnish with a smaller brush to apply the white tip to ensure that it would look neater. He explained that Ying Thai didn’t haven’t use those varnishes. He offered to try the French manicure yet again. His attempt was so sloppy and so much time has been wasted. I declined his offer of a third attempt at the French manicure and opted for a simple one polish look. He apologised, offered me a cup of ginger tea and painted my nails. It was the longest time I’ve ever spent in a nail salon. Although the nail technician was pleasant, and tried to fix the issues I had with my nail treatment. I was shocked at how sloppy the treatment was. If he didn’t know how to do the French manicure he should’ve said so, instead of wasting my time.
Very good wax and amazing value! Super quick and easy.
Amazing massage as usual. I would come here once a week if I could!
So glad I found this place! They do all beauty treatments I could want and have the best prices in central London, plus super friendly staff. So happy with my wax, did not get any sort of rash from it. This is my new go to beauty place!!
First time having a deep tissue massage. Ouch :) And that was just medium pressure. The therapist was fantastic always checking with me and cracking jokes. Manicure with Uyanga top as always.
