It was not a very welcoming experience and the salon is so busy that staff don't seem to have any time to clear the cut off hair from their workstations, floor or brushes before seeing a new client. The stylist insisted that we do the wash first before discussing what I wanted and how my hair is normally. It was a very impersonal experience and there was water on my face and in my eyes during the wash. When we got back to the chair I had to wait while they typed a fairly long message on their phone before starting. I was discouraged from getting what I would normally get as a haircut, which either meant they didn't believe I knew what I was talking about or they didn't have the confidence to do what I wanted. I picked up on this so I insisted on a really convervative trim instead as by that time I actually just wanted to leave as quickly as I could. When trying to describe my hair as being actually quite curly after a wash, the stylist shook their head and with a condoscending smiles said, "No, straight. Very straight". Again, apparently I don't know anything about my own hair. They were quite confused when my hair started drying and curling (as I said it would) and they had to adjust their cuts which meant that my appointment lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes for what ended up being a standard wash, trim and blow dry.
It’s pretty loud and crazy in here so if you’re looking for a relaxed experience this probably isn’t it. But great haircut, great music and really quick!
