I've been to splash for gel nails a number of times as its great value for money, even though it's not the cleanest or atmospheric of places. On this occasion however I had an awful experience. My appointment was at 11:20, I ended up being seen at 11:55, after being told that the beautician would be 'only 5 minutes late'. The beautician herself had the most awful attitude. My nails were in perfect shape she need only have filed them down a little bit instead she spent 25 minutes constantly messing up and taking one down too much, therefore having to do the rest all over. Overall she spent an hour and a half on my appointment which was supposed to take only an hour and with the half an hour wait that's a two hour long appointment! I was on my lunch break so this was just unacceptable! To top it all off the beautician was rude. She hadn't wiped down the table from the previous customer (or at any point in time) so there were filings everywhere as well as dust, which then got trapped in the gel on my nails - she then had the audacity to blain me for touching them when I did not and in fact it was her dirty UV dryer that was the problem. She did a shoddy job overall leaving dents in my nails and making my cuticles bleed on three different nails. I now have scabs, irregular shaped nails, and a shoddy application of polish. Overall I'm really disappointed.
