Splash used to be my go-to salon (I have left it a number of 5* reviews on Treatwell from my treatments last year), but today fell far short of their usually high standards.
The gel manicure I had today looks blobby and not at all professionally applied. I had to repeatedly ask my nail technician to shape the nails evenly, as she consistently filed the right side noticeably shorter than the left. I paid for cuticle work, but hardly any time at all was spent on them, meaning that the application around the cuticle is wonky and unsightly. Front of house kindly offered to fix the worst nail when I asked, but I was too embarrassed to ask her to fix the three others which are equally poorly applied. I am going to have to book another treatment to fix them; which is annoying having already spent £30 on this manicure. The UV lamp was also dirty, full of pink nail crumbs/shavings from the last person’s treatment. Overall, a disappointing experience from what was previously my favourite salon.
