You don’t go somewhere with splash’s price points and expect a top quality haircut but Jesus Christ this was bad. I walked in and the guy straight away sat me in the hair washing seat without looked at my hair or acceding what I wanted while it was dry. He then washed my hair (not sure I even got the ‘free conditioning treatment’ and then sat me down in the seat and said ‘two fingers’. From here it was clear he didn’t speak much English and we struggled to communicate really atall which is pretty harrowing when someone is cutting your hair. I tried to say to only cut off what’s nessesary and so help me get more volume. I couldn’t workout if he was saying I had layers already or that I should get layers but we managed to get some layers in, however messy and uneven. The haircut took about 2 mins and then he dried it without a brush by just turning the hair drying upside down and yanking his fingers in my hair. Then he said we are done without even touching my fringe. I wanted it shaped back into a 70s fringe but by this point was too scared to get this miscommunicated. Tried to show him a picture and he said I had it, which was half true but it needed tidying. The end result was actually pretty luckily not worse than my hair before, just shorter - but that’s a bit diar considering I went there with shit hair. I keep looking in the mirror and trying to work out if my hair was this shit before or if he’s made it worse. Who knows. I tried to rectify the situation by neatening my fringe by myself and defo now made it shitter. If I could I would a million times over pay the £20 extra to go to a better salon. I have really easy hair to cut, and I’m not often disappointed which shows the level of low this haircut was. I also don’t use usually leave scathing reviews like this as I feel bad but I’m lying in bed with uneven sad and fugly hair feeling it’s my moral duty to not let anyone else go through it. Also, the wine is TOXIC, but that was the least of my problems.•over 4 years ago
