It was very hectic on arrival-think there may have been some double booking so they were trying to cram us all in. The Beautician I had was very nice but didn't speak much English so there wasn't much room for conversation. She was good at her job though, very thorough. The only thing was I ordered a Brazilian and came out with a Hollywood! I wasn't fussed but another customer might have been! With that in mind I got more for my money I suppose!
The salon was spotless, bright and nicely decorated. There was even a tv on the ceiling which made for very convenient distraction during the stinging wax. The lady who did it was lovely and accommodating, quick and very thorough. Finally: no ingrowns, my legs are super smooth, and I now remember why I love getting them waxed rather than shaving :)
Very suspect hygiene of tools by the therapist, who could barely understand anything I said; which is common for Splash salons but usually not so obvious and frustrating as this time. Completely cut corners throughout my treatments which I brought up and asked why, she said she only had a short amount of time to finish so I stopped treatment and said rather than pay for half a job I would just go elsewhere. Colour selection of gel colours was poor also by comparison to other salons. The manager was excellent at making amends and rearranging the value of the treatments I didn't want to have done based on the above.
I have had a number of shellac manicures at Splash in Goodge street, I return regularly as they steer clear of the electric files which I find very bad for my nails. I have always left very pleased with how my nails look and feeling like it was good value for money. The girls doing the nails are all very friendly and skilled at their work.
