Not my normal salon but decided to try it as near my workplace. I booked an appointment and arrived on time. I was seated but then left unattended for about 5 minutes whilst the girls chatted and kept disappearing. Finally the treatment began. They all clearly struggle with English to a certain extent so the lady did not understand when I said I want my nails ‘curved’ (as opposed to straight). Throughout the treatment she regularly disappeared, sometimes for many minutes at a time and I am not sure why.
When she removed the cuticle (with nail clippers...) it went far too far so that my middle finger began to bleed under the nail bed. This was not acknowledged at all which I found rather shocking. Accidents happen and the offer of a tissue or antiseptic wipe (which I have experienced elsewhere) would be fine. But the treatment continued as my finger bled. Sadly, though unsurprisingly, it is now infected and incredibly sore.
