Firstly- the staff were perfectly friendly, so this is not a personal attack at them. However:
-The pictures on TW are of the upstairs salon. The downstairs area for waxing is very different- the room I was in was absolutely filthy, gross hair on the floor everywhere, rusty surfaces, nowhere to hang up my coat/clothes during the treatment.
-The lady doing my waxing didn't seem particularly experienced. She got excess wax everywhere, at one point instead of walking round the bed to my other side, just reached over my head with the stick of hot wax dripping over my face. She was using a mix of hot wax and strip wax for the Brazilian, but did not use tweezers to remove any finer hairs as most places do. She left quite a lot and I had to keep asking her to remove patches she had missed. She also left bits of wax all over me, not helped by her own hands being covered in wax that she was spreading around every time she touched me. I was glad I was not wearing my best clothes or due to go back to work afterwards, as I had to spend quite a while cleaning myself up afterwards. At one point she also opened the door to the rest of the salon, while I was still undressed with only a small (unclean) towel to cover myself.
Overall, whilst it is cheaper than other central locations, I would not return to Splash. It is worth paying a few pounds more for hygiene and a professional experience that you don't have to clean up yourself once you get home.
Disappointed. My first mani here was great and lasted. However, this time, I had to return after 4 days as thee nails began peeling. They were quick to fix this, however, a week later I’m back to square one.
The girls there are really lovely and the salon loc is convenient but sadly I won’t be returning
