Luxurious and completely Bodacious Lick Smackingly fantasmo. A day so far out, will struggle to match it. That said, it was ok
The spa area itself could do with a bit of a cleaning up especially the tiles. It was good value for money but you do get what you pay for. There was a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and obviously the pool, which were all nice. The 1.5 hour aerobics class that was on when we arrived didn't start the day well but sums the place up - it is more of a leisure club not an exclusive spa retreat, it is business as usual no matter who has booked a spa day. The treatments only lasted about 20 minutes each - the back massage was excellent but the facial very poor. All in all you get what you pay for!
The venue is beautiful, tucked away and very peaceful. We first used the gym which was well equipped with great facilities. We then sat by the pool awaiting our treatments. The pool area was clean and bright, if slightly outdated. We opted for the therapeutic massage which was so relaxing, I would highly recommend. We ended our morning with lunch that was included in the deal and delicious. All in all, the venue was spotless, I highly rate the massage, the staff were always on hand to assist and the value for money was decent.
Stayed here for a Spa break. The massage was brilliant, and my partner's first time having a full body massage, was made to feel well at ease. The staff all throughout the hotel were brilliant, couldn't do more for you. Unfortunately the card cutting machine at the hotel was out of order, which was massively inconvenient, as every time you wanted to go to your room you had to go to reception to have someone walk you back to your room to open your door for you. There were quite a few bugs in the bath in the morning, which we mentioned on checkout, which seemed to be met with a disinterested look. Luckily we didn't bother with the bath as we were there for a spa break so showered in the pool area. The Spa facilities were mainly good, though the puzzling inclusion of a loud aquafit class which lasted at least an hour didn't exactly seem conclusive to relaxation, nor was the fact that quite a lot of kids were also using the pool.
Found the spa staff not very helpful compared with other spas if been too. they were also late in giving is our treatments and didn't give an apology or explanation. The hotel however was lovely, likewise was the food we ordered.
